Last week, as Biden for President Arizona kicked off its “First Week Voter” Campaign, supporters of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Mark Kelly, and Democrats up and down the ballot came out to the grand opening of two new “Victory Supply Centers” in Central and South Phoenix. Local volunteers and voters arrived at the morning and afternoon events to collect yard signs and campaign literature, and shared why they’re excited to begin voting on October 7.

“[This election] is about who you love, and what your beliefs are, and the future of the country. It’s a message of allowing us as Americans to express our differences but through votes, not through words or through social media,” said Oscar De las salas. “Because of our convictions, we decided that this is the candidate that will represent us in the bigger frame in the country.”

“I’m going to vote for Biden-Harris this year because we really need to change the direction of this country. We need to get back to cooperation. We need to change where we are going for the youth of this country if nothing else. When my kids were young I took them to the polls, and since they’ve been out of the house I vote by mail. And I vote early every year, just for the peace of mind. I can check and make sure that my ballot has been received, and I’ll do it this year as well,” said Tracy Zipay.

“I am voting for Biden and Harris this time around because this is an important election. I’ve followed Biden’s career since the very beginning, and I’m excited to vote for the Biden-Harris ticket. I know that they will change the trajectory of this country, and I can’t wait for that to happen,” said Alice Scott.

Volunteers and supporters interested in stopping by a Victory Supply Center must fill out this form to schedule a yard sign pick up. Please note, anyone picking up a sign or material will be required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing at all times.

The deadline to register to vote in Arizona is October 5, and the last day to request a mail-in ballot is October 23. Early voting begins in the state October 7. Make a safe and secure plan to vote by visiting IWillVote.com or VoyAvotar.com.
